The psych reps are a group of psychology students that organize and run various events related to the psychology department. These events include the Grad in Residence programs, the Fall Picnic, Senior Happy Hour, the Topher Bill Auction, and they also co-organize the Psi Chi symposium alongside Psi Chi.
The psych reps also hold major meetings, attend faculty meetings to keep the professors informed about what's going on with the students, as well as to get info from professors to answer student questions. They also organize student lunches to meet with any people who are being interviewed at the school to become possible professors. They also give valuable input from the student body to the psychology staff on topics such as "who to hire for an upcoming year" and "what classes to offer".
Students have to run to be elected as Psych reps by posting their information on the rep board outside of 205 and 206 towards the end of the Spring. There are always 4 reps and they are elected by the Psych majors.
Their largest project is the Topher Bill Auction, and they are in charge of getting Lee Hall rented, collecting donations and organizing them, taking care of the money, making sure the money goes towards the scholarship, taking pictures, making sure the word gets out about the auction, etc.
