Outside Learning
Research, Internships, PSYC 322 and Community Service Learning
An essential part of the psychology program at UMW is the "Outside Learning" requirement. This requirement gives psychology majors exposure to an educational experience that is outside of the traditional classroom.
Any one of the following four options will fulfill the Outside Learning requirement:
- 40 hours of community service at an approved site
- A semester long internship at an approved site
- PSYC 322 - Mentoring Children at Risk
- A year long research project
